Apple Pie Drink

Apple Pie Drink in a wine glass

This makes a sweet, cordial-like drink that tastes uncannily like apple pie. As with any sweet alcoholic beverage, it’s wise to drink it slowly in moderation.

The original version of this recipe makes roughly two gallons, which is, frankly, a lot. If you’re not planning to bottle a ton of it and give it away as gifts to booze-friendly friends, you can try the halved amount further down so you’ll only have to drink a gallon of this on your own.

To make 2 gallons:
1 gallon apple juice
1 gallon real apple cider with pulp
2 cups honey
4 cups sugar
4-6 sticks cinnamon
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tsp. ginger
700 mL Everclear (50mL less than a fifth)

To make 1 gallon:
2 qts. apple juice
2 qts. apple cider with pulp
1 cup honey
2 cups sugar
3-5 sticks cinnamon
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tsp. ginger
350 mL Everclear

Mix all ingredients EXCEPT the Everclear into a big soup pot. Bring to a boil.

Simmer on low for 45+ minutes.

Let cool. Add the Everclear, mix well, and bottle.
